100 blessings from God in the year 2009

So, I think I wrote in my Pastor's FB comment that I am going to write it out.. Here I am, starting out of all the great blessings from God that I received in this year... I am not very sure would I be able to get 100 things out of it.. But I seriously believe in what pastor said, that life is going to be great =)
Well, what did God actually blessed me this year? I have to say that I been thru days like hell... and yet...I am going to thank God for everything.... I am still here, all because of Him.

Everything starts from the Alpha, then it ends with Omega. There is Genesis, and then it ends with Revelation. Hence, blessings would start from the beginning of the year, and till the end of the year.

1) In the beginning of the year, just like anyone else, I am doing my part-time right after my STPM. Hoping that I could do well in my exam and get enrolled into public university so I can help ease my parents' burden. So how God blessed me this season? My lady boss gave me a good basic pay with good OT charges. I have a company car to drive around. Things is going so well =) A good job being prepared by God helps me a lot...a good time for me to save money for the rainy days.

2) New year is coming... I am glad that I received a great blessings again in terms of financial =) I received a good ang-pow from my boss.. from my aunty-mummy =) So I was able to bless my dad and mum with good ang pow.. and at the same time, give my little brother a good ang pow and a new shirt...

3) What's next? I couldn't really remember well.. But it somehow comes to the time when I receive my STPM results. I failed my Maths. My worst nightmare. There are a lot of reasons behind it. Some people knew, some people doesn't know anything about it. It's not the time to do any finger pointing anymore. What I received is? At least I passed my STPM and was eligible to receive my STPM certificates. What's more? My attitude/discipline in school was "Baik" instead of "Memuaskan" So,gotta thanks God for that. Truly because, God bless me with a great form teacher that understands my family problems. So whenever I'm absent from school, he still mark me as present. If not, I think I would've receive a few warning letters! Haha...

4) I have to say that thank God for blessing me with great brothers and parents? I was having a hard time after receiving my result. It was my worst day ever. I couldn't help but to cry out when I am alone. Worst failure. I was hit down to the ground. Motionless. However, it comes to the crucial time. They know I am struggling with a hard time handling Engineering / Sciences stuff... So finally, they come to understand me, my stress. My parents and brother told me that,if I really want to go for arts stream like music or teaching, just go for it =)  At least, I felt slightly relieved with their understandings.

5) Thank God again, as I'm going to further my studies and my Dad would be supporting me. Though I had a hard time during my STPM studies, working and studying, but at least now, he is willing to work and support my studies. Thank God for that because I have chance to further my studies.

6) Even though my dad didn't give me like a 1K for every month just like other friends so that I can enjoy college life,but still...thank God because I never go hungry...still,again, I receive blessings from my aunty-mummy that I have extra money to use when Dad doesn't gives me enough. So, with the money dad gave me,and what aunty-mummy gave me, I have more than tat. Come on, God's blessing is more than enough =)

7) Relationship came to chaos. I'm near to mild depression? My life is like going crazy. So, eventually, my relationship of almost a year came to an end. It's tragic I guess? Come on... For the blessings I received above, I was a backslider that time. But yet, God was still blessing me on that time. When my relationship ended, and lots of stuff happened, I cried out to God and I told God, "Can you bring me home please? I am really sorry..." Thank God... He forgives me...and He brings me back to a church... City Harvest =)

8) Again, thank God because I was brought to a church with great members. Leaders who are just like brothers to me.. Guiding me.. Teaching me.. Trying to understand me.. Thank God for bring me back with great brothers/sisters around me. A place where I really felt the strong presence of God and godly people that is willing to be with me..

9) I was into a great cell group. God places me in a great place to learn. To have a good foundation. To have more knowledge of my faith. I learnt a lot here. Thank God for this.

10) Finally, I am baptized! In the time according to Him! I really wanna thank God because when I decided to do it, brother Wai Kok was willing to rush over to Setapak after his work n despite the heavy traffic jam just to finish bible study with me so that I can get myself prepared for my baptism... Thank God for it...

11) God blessed me by blessing my eldest brother. He have backslide for probably 9-10 years? A great pianist whom he used to be, and now, he is still the great pianist =) Thank God because he brings him back, to serve him in the ministry.. My brother even get baptized too!

12) Thank God that He answered my prayers. My brother started to do well in his career. Though it seems to be difficult in the beginning,but I could see that things are getting better and better for my brother! Praise the Lord!

13) Thank God because my dad's work,career and business are getting better. Even though I know his bad attitude of being lazy at times, but still.. I can see that God is changing him to someone better. Thanks Heavenly Father for giving me such a great Dad in my life.

14) My relationship with my parents are getting better. We talked more. I am able to talk more and understands my own father. I no longer have any anger or frustation towards him. Instead, I learn to love him more. So is my relationship with my mother, I talked to her more than ever. Guess what, she listens to me a lot too. Thank God for all these,because He changed me to someone better, a good son of my parents and Him.

15) I want to thank God because of my second brother. My brother eventually bought me a new monitor, gave me his PC, and even a new sound system so that I can enjoy musics that I like. It costs him a bomb. It was a flat LCD screen monitor! OOoOOOooo.... and this computer is just good enough for me to finish all my assignments and install programs that I need to use and learn. Thank God because God provides all the things I need. =)

16)  I almost forgot to thank God for this. I was in the midst of looking for a single room which is affordable. I finally found it. It was big enough for me to allow me to put all my things! Haha... It was cheap! All the basic facilities and necessities are available! Thank God! Finally I don't need to sleep on the floor with sleeping bag anymore!

17) Thank God because when I have problems with my hometown friend, and when I seek advice from my leaders, they are there with me to give me advices. Especially Bro Wai Kok, he gaves me a call immediately once he received my e-mail. =) He was indeed like a biological brother to me... Thank God.

18) Thank God because the cell group that I was actually in had multiplied. Some people might be sad. However, I am happy. Because, there is growth! We were told that we should not just stay in our comfort zone, but we should be stretched and to grow. =)

19) Thank God because I am able to start having my bible study! I have been waiting for it eagerly to know more about Him. Finally, Jason managed to have it with me. I am learning more than ever!

20) Thank God because there is van to bring us to church every weekend. Just imagine how are we supposed to go Sunway for service? Buses and LRTs... Taxis at times... Come on... thank God for the blessings on transportation every weekend!

21) Thank God because of the blessings of having great world-class speakers/pastors from around the world to come over and speak to us which truly touches my heart and allows me to learn even more things. And seriously, God has spoken to me more than ever through all these speakers =)

Seems like I'm kinda messed up with the arrangements. Some should be at the front, some should at the back... Ergh.... It's okay... I will just continue to write down all the blessings without any positions.

22) I received new jeans/khakis from my aunty mummy during Chinese New Year which eventually saves me a lot! Haha...it saves me like around rm300++ ?? Hehe... Thank God for blessing me with such a loving aunty-mummy who dotes me so much!

23) Thank God because my second brother eventually bought me a nice polo-T from Padini which eventually costs him a lot! I love it..and I would always love it...!

24) Thank God because I managed to pass my 1st semester with a CGPA of 3.01. It was my first target. Thank God because I managed to achieve it and pass everything smoothly. It was a great blessing!

25) Thank God because I won 2nd place in the Cocuriculum Day of my first semester. Haha... It was tiring and injured myself too. However, efforts pay..

26) Thank God because after cell group multiplied, I started to lead games at first! Though I'm not good in it, but thank God because He bless me with a new cell group where I learn to hold responsibilities! Haha...

27) Thank God because I finally started to lead offering challenge and warmth which I have been waiting for a long long time! Haha.. It's a blessing too because I get to learn even more than ever! I am reading bible even more!

28) Thank God because He bless me with godly friends like Kelvin,Esther and Han Hong who is always with me,helping me out and giving me advices and encouragement even though they are far away from me at Singapore! =)

29) Thank God for blessing me with a great leader like Jason who is always there for me, guiding me, giving me advices, encouraging me, and pushing me to be the next leader =) Thank God!

30) Thank God because I see that my parents relationship are getting better. They can finally talk nicely to each other and joke around. Thank God!

31) Thank God for all the lovely cell group members who were always there to encourage each other! We are really like brothers and sisters. Always talking with each other, hanging around and laugh together! Encouraging each other =)

32) Thank God for having Shir Wen bringing me back to church =)

33) Thank God for blessing me with understanding housemates that allow me to have cell group meeting at my house every Thursday without any complaints at all! Haha...

34) Thank God for continue to be with me despite having failures in relationship... Again, God is with me and reminding me lots of thing. Thank God =)

35) Thank God because He brought me and my second brother closer to me as we shares more than before. It's a great thing!

36) Thank God because He make good use of me with my course mates. They would come to me when they have problems and even seek me for advice. It's a good encouragement which builds me stronger..

37) Thank God because one of my course mate Chip Kai is coming to cell group and services with me!
He is no longer a new friend, but a member who comes consistently!

38) Thank God for the presents that I received this Christmas from cell group members,leaders and friends =)

39) Thank God for keeping me close to Him and not stray too far getting indulged in bad stuff/temptations.

40) Thank God for building a stronger me that even my hometown church members see my growth!

41) Thank God because my eldest brother bless me with an extra handphone... Hihi! =p It helps me a lot...because I saves a lot from it..One is Digi...One is Maxis...So that it doesn't really cost much when I have to contact my course mates and cell group members!

42) Thank God because I get to be in charge of transportation for my cell group during EMERGE and these days.. God is using me..and it's a great blessing!

43) Thank God because the lecturers for the 2nd semester is understanding and supportive. They look high upon me and expecting from me! It's a good encouragement so that I would strive hard to be better and the top student!

44) Thank God because as I am busy with church stuff, some of the lecturers would postponed the deadline for our assignments and also tests! It helps me a lot as I could do my assignment better and also score better for my test!

45) Thank God because I learnt to differentiate true friends from normal friends. True friends who really stands with you when you have problems.

46) Thank God for the financial blessings when I give to Him during the Mission Fund of both CHCKL and also my hometown church. I received more than the sum I pledge =)

47) Thank God for the watch that my eldest brother gave me =) I was looking for a metal strap watch and somehow my eldest brother gave me one. Thank God for that!

48) Thank God on that day when I was rushing to Kepong to celebrate Jia Win's birthday. I was driving my friend's car. That car went turtle before. However, God protects me all the way to Kepong and back safely! =)

49) Again,thank God because on the way back from Kepong, the car was overload and guess what, there was a roadblock. However, the police officer just ask me to go =)

50) Thank God because whenever I go back hometown, my mum and grandma would cook me nice food. It's just so warming =)

51) Thank God because He not only use me in KL church, but when I went back my hometown to have a look at my hometown's church's new band for Christmas celebration, they heed my advices and make changes!

52) Thank God because members of my hometown's church have a good fellowship with me and we get to share! Hope it helps them... =)

53) Thank God because I am able to share something with Kelvin to ease his worries! They are the one who used to share stuff with me, but now, I get to share something with him too!

54) Thank God because my dad bless with me with table, chairs and the needs like flask,and kettles that I needed at KL. Eventually I saves a lot =) He brings it all the way from JB to KL!

55) Thank God because we have a great pastor ; Pastor Kevin and his wife, Esther who leads the church greatly =) Ain't it a great blessing?

56) Thank God because Keith was doing great sermons that helps us a lot when Pastor Kevin is not around!

57) Thank God because David Oh was around too speaking greatly touching my life and doing great things through CityCares that spread out the love to the people!

58) Thank God because my Uncle David is willing to look after my Grandma as she is old and prefer to stay in Singapore. It's a blessing from God too...

59) Thank God because God is leading my mum well... as she is up a level,promoted in her teaching career as now,she is more to the administration nowadays. Though it seems to be tough for her, but I believe that God is going to stretch her off her limits.

60) Thank God for my second brother again. I know that he is facing a lot of problems. However, now he has his own house. He even say we should have reunion dinner in his new house! Come on, thank God for that. It's a great blessing too!

61) Thank God that I finally have time to accompany my mother to go around, eating nice food and shopping together.

62) Thank God for allowing me to know Esther Lee. A great buddy that I have all the time. Though we contact less nowadays, but we are still having a strong bond? =) She keeps me strong all the time,to be always on fire for God!

63) Thank God because my mum were so worried of my health that she bought some good stuff from E.Excel so that I could have more nutrients as I have been staying up late to finish my works.

64) Thank God because He looks after my mum when she is having health problems. He protects my mother all the time.

65) Thank God because when my dad travels around from Pahang to Johor, and sometimes back and forth from KL back to Johor, God always protect him and gives him safe journey =)

66) Thank God because of Sis Chuan Bee and her family! Her family have been a good friend to our family more than decades! haha... Glad to have some time to fellowship with her previously when I go back to my hometown as she just got back from Australia! They have helped us a lot during our hard time... and thanks Sis Chuan Bee as she encourages me a lot too =)

67) Thank God because I learnt to reconcile with my friends when we have problems or arguments and misunderstanding. =)

68) Thank God because I learnt to seek His kingdom first before seeking other things/materials of the world eg. relationships. I learnt to seek Him first and be patient.

69) Thank God because I learnt to be humble nowadays. I have been too proud of myself before this, and thank God because through sermons, I learnt about humility.

70) Thank God because I also learnt about self-management and not just about time management. It's more about how we should manage ourself! =)

71) Thank God because now, I learnt to serve people more than before. I knew the importance of why should I serve people! Well, if you don't know how to serve people, how are you supposed to serve God?

72) Thank God because of the trust from my leader that I should get myself ready and be prepared to be a leader in the coming days too!

73) Thank God because one of my cell group members might be bringing me a keyboard so that I can get myself to play during the cell group meeting and at the same time,prepare and practice before going for audition of the church worship team ministry.

74) Thank God for building our new cell group W52 with strong bonds and loving each other.

75) Thank God for keeping me healthy this whole year though I have been falling sick in the beginning of the year with coughing, but thank God because I am now having a stronger body with great health that I could do more things for Him!

76) Thank God because even though I am always busy with lots of stuff,yet I have enough time to get every assignment done on time! You know, coursework is very important for TARCians. If we fail our coursework, it means we fail that paper!

77) Thank God because I managed to change my temper more and became better. Looking back at those days,I am really a hot-tempered guy. =)

78) Thank God because I did not get myself indulged into clubbing habit like my other friends.. Instead, I am always going to church! Haha...

79) Thank God because I always have safe journey back to my hometown to spend time with them and then come back to KL safely =)

80) Thank God because some of my friends trusted me and always share their problems with me! If not because of God's grace and blessing that made me someone better, how would people trust me and shares with me?

81) Thank God for protecting my little brother too. He have met 4 times accident. Though he is still, kinda rebellious and naive? Somehow, thank God because my little brother is all the time. Thank God also because he recovers from the virus infection that caused him to be hospitalized. He is my only younger brother, and how do I tell him that I loves him so much that I always pray for him? I don't know what would happen to me if I lose him if he gone during any of the accident...He is always my dearest lovely brother. Thank God for protecting him all the time.

82) Thank God again for my grandma. She suffered from mild stroke previously as she is getting older. However, thank God as she is doing fine =)

83) Thank God because I never seems to lack of anything. I always have more than enough! I have more than one shoes! I have more than one watches! I always have more things...more than enough!

84) Thank God that I am able to speak in tongue! It's a great gift from God.. =)

85) Thank God because now I learnt to pray with others together. It's good that you put your arms around these people, and you pray for them.

86) Thank God because everything that I faced before, all the experience, could be used to help out others that are facing the same problem that I used to face.

87) Thank God for the air that I'm breathing now and always.

88) Thank God that I'm alive right now, writing out how greatly He had blessed me this whole year.

89) Thank God for allowing me to know Yvonne Low! Haha.. This was requested by her, by it was great to know her too. She has been indeed, a good friend to me. Who shares a lot with me too. =)

90) Thank God because He never gave up on me, but have been using me now and always.

Cool! I still got 10 more to go! It's like too many things and I don't know what else to write! Haha...

91) Thank God because I always met good and friendly taxi-drivers at KL =)

92) Thank God because I was not in the bar list, as I missed pretty lots of class this semester as I have been overslept a lot tis semester,contribution from my assignments and lab reports =p

93) Thank God because I learnt to give even more to Him! You will reap what you sow...

94) Thank God because I learnt to share even more during cell group warmth time!

95) Thank God because my faith towards Him is so much stronger by now that I would continue to believe in Him that He would always protect,provide,and bless me greatly!

96) Thank God because He gaves me the talent to know how to play piano. At the same time, why do I think it's a blessing from Him this year? It's because even though I am at Kuala Lumpur studying, occasionally I get to play piano at my friend's house, lecturer's cell group meeting, my friend's church, and I was even invited back hometown to play for my church member's wedding! That was such an honor and blessing!

97) Thank God because of my hometown's church growth too! The church is going to be become bigger too! They are planning to rebuild it. Thank God =)

98) Thank God because everytime when I go back hometown, I would have a car to drive to hang out with my friends and fetch my old buddies around to talk and fellowship!

99) Thank God because I learnt to let go of the past, as I was told "There is not past in the future, and there is no future in the past." So many things happened, and I truly know if I cling on to the past, how am I supposed to continue to walk forward? Thank God =)

100) Thank God, because I am here right now, because He created me 20years ago. That is why today, I could be here, writing all the great things He has done in my life. So that, it could be blessing to others, believers or non-believers.

In Psalms 78 : 2-4 "I will teach you hidden lessons from our past - stories we heard and know, stories our ancestors handed down to us. We will not hide these truths from our children but will the next generation about the glorious deeds of the Lord.

Again in Mark 5: 19 , Jesus said " No,go home to your friends, and tell them what wonderful things the Lord has done for you and how merciful He has been."

This 100 blessings, is just like 100 testimony. God has done tremendously great things in my life. Thank You Heavenly Father for your blessings through the year of 2009. Continue to lead me, so that I would be just like King David of those days. Amen.
